I have lately gained a lot of interest into Game AI. After playing Horizon Zero Dawn, I was amazed at how that game’s AI behavior was so advanced with hierarchical network planning and advanced height maps with their flying AI.
Ever since, I have been down this rabbit hole of investigating Game based AI agents. From reading about the most primitive Pacman AI, to FEAR’s ground-breaking enemy AI I have just been thoroughly in this sub-topic of games.
This series of blog posts will be about me exploring group AI and talking about my journey of success/obstacles/failure to develop group behavior in a city builder game I am working on.
